Since my daughter is in love with cats - and so are we all, we have 3 cats - I've decided to have a cat theme this week, using the free printables from 1+1+1=1.
Introducing our oldest cat, Cesar!
We used several of the printables, here are only a few pictures of what we did:
Matching words to pictures
Attaching a clothepin to the beginning sound - first time
she did this sort of activity, with clothepins and she did
very well, all by herself.
She repeated it the next day.
Pasting into the right spot
Singing "I'm a little cat!"
French Learning
We had our 2 days of French this week(when we focused on French music, books, conversation and DVDs, all in French), and that went really well. Here are the books we read this week:
And here she is, flipping through the Dora book from above (Jour de pluie) - unfortunately, I switched the phone's position, so you're going to have to twist your neck a bit to be able to see it:)
Fine Motor Activities
This girl loves to pour! So I let her...
Dry pouring tray: beans
Transferring colored water
Giving Dinosaur a shower
Ok, this picture tells it all!
Life-cycle of a Butterfly
We used this set, to go over the lesson we had a few months ago (here and here):
From 'Carturesti Library'
I set it up in the colored rice sensory bin

Educational Toys and Free Play
She
loves the Word Whammer, although I don't like it that much, as it
teaches letter names as well - I've been avoiding that, trying to focus
on the letter sounds, to help her read (with phonics).
I love all your fun activities. It is interesting that you are not teaching the letter names! It really makes sense! I spent last year teaching my daughter the letter names, now I have to turn around, do them all again and teach her the sounds! Great job!
What a fun week! Live the kitty :) and these activities! Our week is broken up a bit because of dads days off but I might have to come back with a post to link up! Have a great week!
We're a cat family too :) I hope you'll link up this post to Tot School Tuesday on See Vanessa Craft: http://seevanessacraft.com/2012/10/tot-school-tuesday-little-blue-truck-sensory-play/
